How do I register to take a course I failed?

The process for registering for a course you failed or a course that is outside of your regular schedule is called Exception Registration (XR).

  1. To complete an XR, you must access your student portal
  2. Click on the option labelled ‘Exception Registration’.
  3. Click on 'Create' and fill in the necessary information for the course you want to sit.
  4. To select class, click on the green arrow
  5. Click on Register

After the process has been approved by the registry team, you are required to log back into your portal then click on exception registration, click view then select the specific course you applied for then select confirm.

After you confirm your course, the request will be sent to the accounts department for you to be added to the CRU.

This is used to register for a Repeat/Redo module, Re-sit, Supplemental or Modular registration.

 

Please note that is you want to cancel a course you will have to do so before confirming your Exception Registration
